The numbers are staggering, and I don't think they will ever have a perfect number as there are many islands affected which do not have a yearly census, and that is severe hyperbole. As the world population increases by billions and the mass of people become increasing dense in certain areas of the world, the liklihood of catastrophes such as this is quite high IMO in the coming decades. Right now all we can do is send money and our prayers. I cannot begin to imagine going through what these people went through. Regards, Brian
