Google, Yahoo estimates upped by Goldman (GOOG, YHOO) By Steve Goldstein 4:06am 01/03/05 LONDON (CBS.MW) -- Internet portals Google (GOOG) and Yahoo (YHOO) had fourth quarter revenue and EBITDA forecasts upped overnight by Goldman Sachs, with the broker citing strong online advertising trends indicated by its channel checks with media buyers (for both branded online advertising & PFP search), its sixth annual holiday and its tracking of top 200 advertisers on Yahoo. "We believe that paid search is benefiting from both better than expected quarter on quarter growth in volume and PPCs due to the strong secular trends & the heightened e-commerce competitive environment," it said. Goldman sees Google fourth-quarter revenue at $592 million on EBITDA of $378 million, and Yahoo fourth-quarter revenue of $773 million on EBITDA of $322 million. ----------------------- FUTS flat with a ever so slightly green bias as Asia has traded these past few hours or so.
