And while you are at it, if you reply to your own message, how about not have it show up in your inbox?

I could've sworn that it already works that way.

If you reply to your own message, it'll increment your Inbox counter temporarily during the message-submit routine, but when it takes you to your message after it's posted, it should remove it from your Inbox. The Inbox counter will go up, but it'll go back down on your next page read.

That's because the routine that displays the Inbox count happens on every page and happens before anything else on the page happens, so it has no idea that, for example, it's on readmsg for a message you just wrote.
