The Secret of Roan Inish is one of the very most beautiful Irish movies ever made. It is really magical, if you like that sort of thing. SI can wear a bit thin as a way to waste time. It is kind of addictive. I donate most of my tv time, and some of my reading time, to it. I like to write and also be exposed to different ideas, and it it good for that. But I think people are basically much happier living a mostly 3D life, and in fact that is why I left for so long. It felt like my life was out of balance. If circumstances changed and I had something serious to do, I would probably take another long break from it.
