What I dont understand is why, on the mainland and even large islands, the govts dont just evacuate EVERYONE 3-5 miles away from the shoreline where there is safe drinking water, presumable normal food supplies etc etc. Send in teams to find and identify the bodies IF POSSIBLE and then just BURN the entire coastline. This would eliminate a lot of the possability of disease and help clean up the mess. Granted it would be an AWFUL feeling for the families of the missing, but quite frankly, the LIVING should come ahead of the DEAD in this matter. There is no point in DOUBLING the death toll through disease and prolonging this ordeal. jdn
