I totally understand your position, redfish. When I ate meat I had absolutely no idea how meat animals were treated. Then I had a long period of time when I was not working, and a lot of time to think, and started finding out, and was just horrified. There seem to be two very different positions on fishing expressed here, and in the larger world as well. One is that it is the most meditative, addictive, beautiful activity ever, and the other is that it is a huge bore experienced either in freezing water or hot humid temperatures with hungry insects swarming. I have never been able to understand why the two views are so diametrically opposed. Do you have any excellent lentil or other legume recipes you would like to share here? I especially love lentils.
