WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE...?

Well lets consider that over 200,000 people could lose their lives due to the tragic Tsunami and the lack of crucial infrastructure afterwards...The United States provided over $13 Billion in disaster relief to Florida for the 4 hurricanes in the last year -- how many were killed...? I know, it was tragic and lots of buildings were lost AND it was a crucial election state in the November presidential race...Yet, it took days for our government to admit that The United States government might provide billions in aid to the Asian countries impacted by The Tsunamis...Bush and The NeoCONS got their blood pressure up about Saddam and we now have committed at least $200 Billion tax dollars to remove a dictator and try to install a democracy in The Middle East...Along the way we've made many enemies and killed over 100,000 innocent Iraqis (and well over 1000 Americans)...Our Armed Forces are bogged down in Iraq and stretched thin and when a major environmental disaster hits we can only do so much...My father often used to say "Life's a series of compromises"...Our current president and the U.S. CONgress have hyper-focussed on Iraq and ignored many of the world's problems...What's wrong with that picture...?
