On Monday, the United States announced an initial $5 million in aid, mostly through the Red Cross, to which it said it most likely would add an additional $10 million at some point. Bush still was nowhere to be seen.

Not to nitpick, the point is still valid.

I think that was $15 million. To put it in perspective, the Republicans are planning on spending around $30 million on the inaugural celebrations...

Which is still less than the Dems spent on Clinton's...
