11:00 ET NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Shares of Sonus Networks were up 4.7 percent after ThinkEquity Partners initiated research coverage of the company with a "buy" rating. Analyst Troy Jensen set a 12-month stock price target of $9, which is 55 percent above the current price of $5.79. He thinks the company will announce several significant deals in 2005 in both domestic and overseas markets. "We believe Sonus Networks is one of the best positioned suppliers of next generation switching equipment and the company's pure-play voice over Internet protocol exposure deserves a premium valuation," Jensen said.
