The Terrorist's Best Friend
Monday February 25, 2002
By: Robert Tracinski

The events of the past few weeks in Israel have offered a timeless lesson on the real cause of terrorism and the real meaning of the "peace process".

The pattern of these events is crystal clear: Yasser Arafat and his Palestinian Authority have escalated their war against Israel, while loudly demanding that Israel renounce "military solutions" and return to the "peace process." It is a brazen attempt to wage all-out war while urging the victims to disarm themselves.

It is important to grasp the nature of the recent escalation in the Palestinian war effort. A little more than a week ago, an Israeli tank was destroyed when it was lured over a mine made from 80 pounds of powerful C4 explosives--not exactly a home-made weapon cooked up by disaffected youngsters in a refugee camp. Early this week, a squad of Palestinian militants killed 6 off-duty soldiers asleep in their bunks at an Israeli checkpoint. This was not a suicide attack, but rather a carefully planned commando raid carried out by the al-Aqsa militia, a branch of Yasser Arafat's own Fatah political faction. Over the past few weeks, Palestinians have also begun pelting Israel with Qassam-2 rockets, which have a range of up to 5 miles and carry a destructive power equivalent to a 122-mm mortar.

All of this comes after the capture of the Karine-A, a Palestinian ship caught smuggling $50 million of Iranian military weapons into Gaza. Taken together, all of these events make it clear that the Palestinian "uprising" is an all-out military campaign that is increasingly taking on the character of conventional warfare.

But while the Palestinians treat this like a war, they urge the Israelis to do the opposite. Palestinian official Jibril Rajoub rails: "Not security, not the military, not the siege, and no F-16 fighter planes will assure the Israelis security and stability; only a negotiated political settlement will bring peace and security." In other words, war is a practical plan for the Palestinians, but not for the Israelis.

The immediate goal is to gull Israel into a dishonest Saudi "peace plan" that would give Arafat his own independent state and force Israel to withdraw to its fragile pre-1967 borders, in exchange for an Arab promise to be nice--the same kind of promise Arafat made in 1993. But these calls for a "political solution" also have a broader purpose: to keep Israel committed to the "peace process"--the structure on which Arafat's war strategy is based.

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, the alleged hawk, has proven to be a prisoner of the "peace process," responding to Palestinian attacks with a series of pin-prick retaliatory strikes against mostly empty Palestinian police buildings and political offices. Asked why he won't do more--why he won't dismantle the Palestinian Authority and cut off terrorism at its source--Sharon declares that he "will not drag Israel into an all-out war."

This answer is revealing, because it is obvious that the Palestinians are already at war with Israel. What Sharon really means is that Israel won't wage war in return. And that is what Arafat is counting on.

Terrorism is a form of warfare waged by the weak. Arafat knows that his Palestinian Authority would not survive for 48 hours in direct conflict with an unrestrained Israeli army. So instead, he wages war through semi-official proxies, through the militias and terrorist networks that he tolerates and supports. But this strategy can only work if Israel agrees not to recognize that this is war. Terrorism can only work against a victim who refuses to fight back.

What kind of country refuses to answer war with war? A country paralyzed by pacifism. For decades, Israel has been bombarded by the dogmas of the "peace movement"--both from the Israeli left and from the acolytes of pacifism in the diplomatic community, especially in Europe. The fundamental dogma of the "peace movement" is that those who initiate a war and those who fight to defend themselves are equally guilty, that they are both responsible for a "cycle of violence" that can only be halted through negotiation and appeasement.

Thus, Arafat's strategy: unleash a terrorist war; use the "peace process" to keep Israel from fighting back; then terrorize Israel into a "political solution" that gives him more concessions and more territory--which Arafat will use to launch a new war to eliminate Israel altogether.

What makes this war strategy work? Only one thing: the "peace movement."

The peacenik is the terrorist's best friend.

Yaccov, not everyone supports the existence of Israel, and not everyone despises the Palestinians. Most Europeans and their governments support Palestine to a certain degree, in fact, and do not support the U.S. position on Israel. Ariel Sharon is the most vile kind of terrorist himself, a Zionist terrorist. I think it is really unfair to pretend that he and the founders of Israel were wonderful people, freedom fighters of a sort, and the innocent people they drove off their farms and out of their towns in to refugee camps were not. All of the terrorism in the Middle East can be traced back to the Zionist terrorists and the establishment of Israel, including the rise of the Islamists. An Israeli commission found Sharon guilty, incidentally, in the massacres in the refugee camps.

Here is an article about Sharon from the BBC:

Thursday, 24 January, 2002, 19:05 GMT

Flashback: Sabra and Shatila massacres
The 1982 massacres of Palestinians at Sabra and Shatila refugee camps claimed the lives of at least 800 civilians, murdered by Lebanese Christian militiamen allied to Israel during its brief occupation of the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
The killings are considered the worst atrocity of Lebanon's 15-year civil war and perhaps during the entire Middle East conflict.

The victims had been left defenceless after Israel drove the Syrian army and fighters belonging to Yasser Arafat's Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO) from the Lebanese capital.

The expulsion of the PLO was the result of Israel's "Operation Peace for Galilee" invasion, masterminded by then-Defence Minister Ariel Sharon, to eradicate the "terrorist threat" posed by the Palestinians' military presence in Lebanon.

The slaughter was carried out by fighters from the Lebanese Forces militia (LF), linked to the Christian Phalange group, who were hungry for revenge for the killing of the Phalange leader Bashir Gemayel in a car bomb two days earlier.

" They didn't spare anyone; they killed everyone they came across "
Survivor Muhammad Faqih

PLO forces withdrew in a US-mediated ceasefire at the beginning of September.

Mr Sharon declared that "2,000 terrorists" remained in Palestinian refugee camps around Beirut. Sabra and Shatila were surrounded by Israeli tanks and soldiers, with checkpoints to monitor the entry or exit of any person.

But on the afternoon of 16 September about 150 LF fighters moved into the camps.

Massacre begins

Survivors say that the killers went from house to house, threatening to blow up buildings if the residents did not come out.

The survivors reported overhearing the Phalangists telling one another to use axes to kill their victims, because the sound of gunfire would alert others to their fate.

"They killed my sister's husband in front of me," said survivor Nadima Nasser. "I saw them shooting at the men. They killed them all. I fled."

Mrs Nasser is one of 23 survivors who have lodged a legal case against Mr Sharon in Belgium, where the law allows him to be tried for alleged crimes committed abroad.

Her testimony, along with others is included on a newly-launched internet site about the massacres, Justice for the Victims of Sabra and Shatila.

Israeli inquiry

Mr Sharon resigned his post after an Israeli commission of inquiry established that he bore indirect responsibility for the deaths for "having disregarded the danger of acts of vengeance" by the militias when he allowed them into the camps.

The Kahane Commission inquiry said LF intelligence chief Elie Hobeika had direct responsibility, because he ordered the killings.

Mr Hobeika denied involvement in the killings right up to his death in a car bomb attack on 24 January 2002.

Outside Israel, human rights groups have long argued that Mr Sharon and the Lebanese Christian perpetrators should be tried for war crimes.

In January 2001, in the run-up to Israeli elections in which he won a resounding victory, Mr Sharon expressed regret about the "terrible tragedy," but refused to apologise or accept any responsibility for the massacres.

The Belgian court is still deciding whether to pursue charges of crimes against humanity against Mr Sharon.

Hobeika had said he would testify against the Israeli Prime Minister and had "important revelations" to make.

Zionists Double-Crossed Iraqi Jews............................
By Henry Makow Ph.D.
February 3, 2003

In 1950, a wave of anti Semitism and terrorism in Iraq made Naeim Giladi, 21, join the Zionist underground.

Giladi was imprisoned, tortured and sentenced to death by Iraqi authorities. He escaped and fled to Israel only to discover that the anti Semitism and bombings had been engineered by his fellow Zionists to dupe Iraqi Jews into going to Israel.

Giladi's family was part of a Jewish community that settled and prospered in Babylon 2600 years ago, 600 years before Christianity, 1200 years before Islam.

Then in the late 1940's, the Prime Minister Nouri-el-Said fired Jewish government employees, denied permits to Jewish merchants, and finally, in March 1950, deprived Jews of their citizenship. Still they did not leave.

A month later, a series of terrorist bombings started the wave of emigration. By January 1951 when a bomb thrown at a synagogue killed three and wounded 30, the exodus of frightened Jews jumped to 600-700 per day.

When Giladi's father discovered his son had joined the Zionists, he was sceptical. "You'll come home with your tail between your legs," he said.

But Giladi was young and idealistic. Jews were being killed and Zionism represented a chance to build a national home. "I was a true believer," he writes.

In an essay "The Jews of Iraq", which is on line, Giladi describes his bitter realization that Zionists were behind the anti Semitism and bombings.

Unknown to Giladi, two members of the Zionist Underground had been arrested and confessed that they had carried out the terrorist attacks.

A book, "Venom of the Zionist Viper," by an Iraqi investigator names Zionist "emissary" Mordecai Ben-Porat as the organizer. The book was banned in Israel.

Iraqi Prime Minister Said was a British pawn. He met Israeli PM David Ben Gurion in Vienna in 1948 and agreed to transfer the Iraqi Jews to Israel as part of the elite geopolitical program.

This and other Zionist crimes against Jews are documented in Giladi's book, "Ben Gurion's Scandals: How the Mossad and the Haganah Eliminated Jews,"(1992) which will be republished by Dandelion Books this spring.

By January 1952, all but 6,000 of 125,000 Iraqi Jews had fled to Israel where as "Arab Jews," they were treated as second-class citizens. Israel wanted them to perform the menial jobs vacated by the Palestinians. Between the Iraqi and Israeli governments, the Iraqi Jews lost much of their wealth.

Of his people, Giladi concludes: "An ancient, cultured prosperous community had been uprooted and its people transplanted to a land dominated by East European Jews, whose culture was not only foreign but entirely hateful to them."

Their fate was typical of all 500,000 Jews from Arab countries. This belies the Zionist argument that these Jews were expelled from Muslim countries and make up for displaced Palestinians.

Giladi discovered that Israel had spurned many sincere Arab peace overtures because of its expansionist plans. He met Prime Minister Ben Gurion and asked him why Israel didn't have a constitution.

'If we had a constitution, we'd have to have a border, and this is not our border," Ben Gurion told him. "Where the army conquers, that will be our border.'

Giladi became an activist and fought in the 1967 and 1973 wars. But after the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982, he renounced his Israeli citizenship and moved to New York City.

'TRUE BELIEVERS'

Giladi's story suggests that Zionists will kill Jews and use terror against "friendly" targets to advance their interests. In past articles, we have seen how they cooperated with the Nazis. In 1954, they bombed American establishments in Cairo (the "Levon Affair") to sabotage Egyptian-American relations.

Some people think they are behind the Hamas. Suicide bombings provided a rationale to destroy the Palestinian infrastructure and "transfer" the Palestinians to Jordan. Ariel Sharon's body language was noticeably upbeat when he visited bombing sites.

I won't dwell on September 11, which I think was perpetrated by the CIA and Mossad. I'd rather focus on the irony that Naeim Giladi almost died for a cause he later repudiated. Tens of millions of "true believers" have been similarly conned.

Zionism cons all Jews. Israelis have been con-scripted in a never-ending colonial war against Muslims. Their supporters in the Diaspora are being compromised morally. But try to warn Zionist "true believers" and you will meet with abuse and ostracism. Zionism is their religion and identity.

Similarly women have been scammed by feminism. To admit this however, would "negate my whole life," as one woman put it. They have missed the boat and now all they have is ideology.

We live in a world where 5% of the people, (i.e. Rockefellers, Rothschilds, Windsors etc.) control 95% of the wealth. From their perspective, we are squatters. They manage us by controlling our belief systems.

They sponsored Communism, Zionism and Feminism to create division and advance their plan for world government. You can see the common pedigree of all three.

In each case, the "party" defines Truth; the end justifies the means; a sugar coating of idealism hides the true agenda; aggression masquerades as grievance; infiltration and subversion are the modus operandi.

The "Left-Right" paradigm in the political arena is also a fraud. The cartel sponsors the Left to co-opt the opposition. The Left spends itself attacking capitalism, when the real culprit is monopoly capital i.e. the Rothschild-Rockefeller cartel that the Left never mentions. Similarly, the Left keeps up the pretence that politicians actually make the decisions.

The cartel set up Communism as a government monopoly and model for their New World Order. For example, Alger Hiss, the original Secretary General of the United Nations was a Soviet spy and President of the elite Carnegie Endowment in New York. When Whittaker Chambers fingered him, a "who's who" of the Eastern Establishment and Truman administration rushed to his defence.

Similarly, the "Right" has been co-opted into defending monopoly capital. The real conflict is the cartel (which controls business, government, education and media) vs. the rest of humanity. The world is a two-bit company town.

Capitalism is a healthy system so long as government maintains a balance between the public and private good. Government now is in the cartel's pocket.

Throughout the 20th Century the wealthy have conned the masses into fighting wars. The First and Second World wars were started to destroy German and English national power. The Korean and Vietnam wars were designed to weaken the United States.

The upcoming American occupation of Iraq may lead to another world war. The U.S. and Israel will exhaust whatever moral capital they have left. They will be vulnerable to retaliation from Egypt, Iran or Syria, backed by Russia, North Korea or China.

There is no end to the machinations of the cartel. After a nuclear conflagration in which millions of "useless eaters" perish, there will be a groundswell calling for world government to "end war forever."

Like Naiem Giladi, "true believers" should be "disillusioned" sooner better than later.
