I guess changing doctor not the answer you must like the dr to put up with the assistant. i have this same problem with another dr. but we do get not prescriptions from this specialist.

next i know you don't fight the snow, ice, sleet, and sub freezing temps in your area. g

I use university of Penn med to oversee my wife's situation. i used to take the prescriptions and mail them until four years ago. Finally I suggested they fax them. Of course an uproar...Then i asked, you handle the new prescription request when the fax comes in what is so difficult to send a fax back out with my soc sec on it for new medication? I guess they got embarrassed and ever since i just tell doctor to fax it to medco and he instructs the staff. Believe me keeping on top of twelve meds for her and a few for me could be a lot of time back and forth to drug store. I am so into on line ordering. Just about everything i buy is mostly on line.

Rite-Aid in my home town has a drive through,, drop off or pick up, or both. Doc does have the nurse call in at times and I call in refills. Easy-- no mail order EXCEPT the VA. They need 2 weeks they say, but actually it generally takes less than a week if I mail it in and 2 - 3 days if I call it in. The VA will send them to my SC home too, if asked.
