More idiocy from the Wanker.

I posted it because it is a left wing version of Bush's takeover of the State Department. The key will be the Deputy and assistant Secretary appointments.

BTW, you should be reading "IsraeliPundit." He is to the right of Sharon.

Unless Blumenthal has sources which are impeccable, Scowcroft is still the chief of the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board.

Except for Blumenthal's piece, I have seen nothing to suggest that Scowcroft is being replaced, but there are a couple of points worth mentioning: first, I don't know how influential Scowcroft might have been after he went public in the NYT opposing the invasion immediately before it took place and, second, Scowcroft is no spring chicken. He might be considering other endeavors or cutting down some of his less productive ones.

I think it woudl be a mistake to replace Scowcroft. With the uproar in the intelligence community and Powell being replaced, W needs a few gray-haired realists around with intelligence experience.

From a purely selfish standpoint, Scowcroft is on QUALCOMM'S board. Since it is my largest and most profitable investment, I'd like to see some GOP connection of this type to remain. I'm reasonably sure LindyBill feels the same.
