It's not a pi$$ing contest. That's exactly what it's become.

I wonder what kinds of people brought that about. Hmmm...your kind.

But you don't really give a shit about Asia, all you care about is defending Bush. He's your hero, right or wrong.

Wrong, and wrong again. I've made my donation to the red cross, and Bush has done things that I don't agree with. Bush is your enemy (right or wrong) much more than he's my hero.

I agree with Mindmeld, I've heard nothing but bash America (and Bush) from you for a long time.

Brian

Hi all, I have it from the good liberals on this thread that Bush commanded the tectonic plates in the SE Asia to collide so that tsunamis would kill 150,000 people. He did this so that he could then fail to give aid quickly enough, so that the liberals would have one more thing to blame him for. Just wanted to keep you all up to date on the liberal's conspiracy theories. ;)

Hi John, since you always compare our spending on Iraq to our spending on relief, I'll post something similar.

Clinton spent $165 million on the Clinton Presidential Library, which was a monument to his ego. I just wish he would have spent that money on a more worth cause like disaster relief.
clintonpresidentialcenter.org
"Built at a cost of $165 million in privately-raised charitable contributions from more than 100,000 donors, the Clinton Library and Archives is being turned over to the United States by the Clinton Foundation on the day of its opening, November 18, 2004."

You see John, we can play this game very well, but it's a silly and stupid comparison. Like Brian says, the U.S. spends money on many worthwhile projects, as well as some not worthwhile at all. To judge one project relative to another is silly. You should judge each project on its own merits and prioritize when funds are limited.
