The only time in biblical history that the Hebrews held the territory from Egpyt to the Euphrates was under Solomons reign. Solomon held a confederation that stretch his power from Epgypt to near to Euphrates. Under Solomon's son Rehoboam, the Hebrew kingdom split between the House of Israel ruled by Jeroboam, the northern ten tribes called Euphraim or Israel, and the southern kingdom called Judah ruled by Rehoboam. The kingdom of Israel (northern ten tribes) was destroyed and taken into the Assyrian Captivity in approximately 800 BC. God used the ancient Hebrew kingdom and the Hebrew people as types of the spiritual fulfillment that Christ was to bring.
