Dave I understand that about the login. Not what I said/meant.

I really do not know the limitations of the stuff you are using but I wouldn't expect you to worry about a vacuous query like Mike. Toss up a message 'too many matches' etc... I agree that would be silly to dump out 144 accounts..... but typing in akafoobar or spotted.cat in the General Search and selecting Members delivers an instantaneous response already so I suspect some indexing although only you or Bob can verify that.. BTW in the old SI that alias search would not have worked... so something is already different... you needed to know the original login right ? IOW akafoobar or spotted.cat would have returned nada... I would need to type in tippet or Kastel

The subject ID is likely too much as it would probably be faster to just bookmark it... but I don't see it the same way for a simple alias IMHO..
