WWJD? Spend hundreds of billions for killing people, and hundreds of millions trying to save people? Or, is that only the Bush version of the Christian thing to do?

In regards to this statement:

"You only have to ask these libs how much money they've personally contributed, and they shut up.

As long as libs give away the taxpayers dollars, the more the merrier, but when it comes out of their wallets, they walk away with their mouths shut."

It's all about manners. I cannot possible agree that asking people how much money they give to a cause is polite, and asking them in a hostile manner to prove some petty political point, is doubly offensive (imo). One of the reasons I mentioned it is that it probably turns some people off on giving all together. Many people won't do something, if people who are objectionable to them, are trying to get them to do it in a hostile manner. Approaching this whole charity thing in a hostile way seems like a very bad idea to me. Right, left or center- I'm not seeing this as a political football- it's not like Iraq, where there were a lot of political decisions involved. This is a natural disaster, and I think most people will try to do there best, including Bush, including Kerry, including just about every human on the planet. Spinning this for political capital- to bitch about conservatives or liberals, is just wrong, imo.
