First, the tragedy is in Japan's backyard so I would expect them to step up in a big way.

Second, the entire US budget for disaster relief has been pledged by Bush....any more will require Congressional action which is bound to occur this week....

Third, private US contributions are not accounted for and they are substantial....

Fourth, the $350 million does not include all rhe DOD dollars being spent such as the cost of Naval and Marine task force which is on the scene, using helicopters, hospital facilites, water purification equipment, etc.

The kind of noises you and you ilk are spouting are quite despicable.....and frankly, as far as I am concerned, a sign of a significant disconnect with reality....(of course in your particular case that's not a new thing).
