The implications of string theory are interesting. String theory allows for infinite parallel universes in (11) multiple dimensions that could be very near but unseeable. Whether it is metaphysics supported by equations or physics is the question. Strings allow for an infinite universe as well although this is problematic. The leakage of gravity to these other dimensions is what could make it appear that gravity is a weak not a strong force. In string theory, gravity is a strong force that leaks to the other dimensions. Locally, this may make the other membranes, occupying other dimensions, collide with ours and create Big Boinks throughout time. Since the physics of ultra large black holes allows for things like infinite gravity, it may be that the leakage there creates wormholes to other dimensions, allowing inter dimensional collisions to balance these "effects"(equation breakdown i.e. there are other things to plug in). Ultimately the breakdown of the equations in super dense matter, or black_hole_garagantua needs some variable tweaking. Now it may be due to certain scientists assertions, that string theory may be testable by finding certain echoes of the Big Boink #last_that_we_know_of. This all may sound strange, but it was Aulde Einstein that showed us in 1918 that gravity was simply a warpage in the space-time fabric due to the coalescence of matter on what we see now as a membrane. Things orbit because they "fall" into a path of space-time warpage. He showed that as gravity increased time slowed down. Somehow that makes missiles go into curved paths as well. The same thing that makes comets visit every 500 years, makes our watches tick differently on Jupiter and Earth. Time and its measurement are inseparable one must remember. One can only compare time to other times. And since that in itself (would) take time, we must accept the different transform, (or framework's) "error", from whatever final transform we accept. There is no absolute time, since there are infinite frameworks of equal authority. It is easy to accept time as the fourth dimension of a changing universe, as it would be impossible to get change/movement without time occuring as well. The thermodynamic heartbeat of energy is the basic pulse of time. As the universe runs out of energy and all molecules lose heat, and slow down, so does time. All the EM forces weaken as the universe approaches absolute zero. This, theoretically, is the only provable law of physics. Entropy exists on an observable scale. It has predictive power. What happens to black holes, predicted as far back as 1890? What sort of warpage of the space time continuum do they cause? Can mattergy escape them to other wormholed-to dimensions? We can, however, chase "what" forever. What is an elusive quality that will not allow itself to be cornered. It may obey mathematical law, but it escapes into other dimensions of the unknowable when our minds think they have finally burrowed into its seemingly measurable lair. What is made of pure tantalum dysprovide . We propose a-la the hippie theory of everything, "like man, it's like, well, whatever" (very powerful) -- the blonde_theory_of_everything. "Like, everything can be looked up, can't it? Or Don't THEY know that somewhere?" All this requires is that we find THEY to KNOW all. This is also a variant of the ASK_LARRY theory of everything. Larry's brother is a professor at MIT and Larry is stupid enough to be able to explain it to us on our own terms. The idea of God, so handy to have in a what_box , is our attempt to know what cannot be known. What. What is a field. What is matter. What is energy. What is time. It cannot be known. To metaphore time, for instance, the sequency of energy dissipation in matter, is to fully misunderstand it. We must teach people to never ask the question "what". We must teach them to say "like", as the beatniks and hippies did. "Like, where are you man?" Ans:"Like I am at the corner of fifth and main.. like right now." The hippies are right. Reality can never be touched. It can only be approximated to a model, which as it grows ever more predictive of things tiny and large, gets ever more complex until man cannot use it at all. Ask any physicist what a field is. Look it up in books. What. No text anywhere answers what these forces ARE. They are not sure finally HOW a field operates. Messenger particles of the string_like answers nothing at all. It is more physically attractive; little particles going out to ferromagnetic materials to create a path_force, but finally we can ask, "well what are they made of mommy?" -- and the whole thing collapses again in metaphysical floundering. Perhaps it is the science of logic that will finally explain what questions to ask, and this will finally put the multiverses into their plastic boxes where children can play with them. EC<:-}
