Re: If you have a forecast for 2005 make it.

1) Continued degradation of democracy.

2) Less than 0.0001% of the American population will notice that the "Leadership Principle" espoused by the Nazis is the blueprint for all Republican Party activity:

3) Financial markets will continue to be artificial oases for well-connected speculators who are given inside information on how to steer hedge funds which are completely opaque and completely off-limits to the average citizen.

4) The FRB will find that the rate of counterfitting of currency must accelerate in order to screen the basic economic and financial bankruptcy of the U.S. government from the citizenry.

5) Hedonic accounting will continue to distort national ledgers.

6) Militarism will be unchecked and in fact accelerated as the twin manias of greed and religious zombification drive the nation to greater levels of insanity.

7) The U.S. Congress will destroy the basic premise of Social Security in a fifteen minute vote that takes seven hours to rein in, bribe, cajole and intimidate enough semi-honest Congressmen to betray their constituencies. Rewards will be staggering for those who hold out and act as the last betrayers.

8) Eliot Spitzer will rise above the fray by burying dozens of ongoing investigations into Wall Street and thereby increasing his campaign finances to the largest sum ever available to a New York Governor's candidate. The GOP will call "foul" and claim it is a system of blatant bribery.

9) Oh, did I mention that corruption will be at an all-time high?

10) There are no new tsunamis in Sumatra. But the UN will be thoroughly investigated by the GOP for corruption in regard to the recovery effort.
