GM has sued in Chinese court, but the problem is that they have not filed the patent in China before Chery has put the car on Chinese market. So I doubt they can win the case in China.

Chery also makes an electronic model now.

Based on ads in LA Times local Ford dealers still have plenty of 2004s. GM markets 2005s very aggressively. GM has older designs, so it can compete on price only.
