The Arabs have been a little upset since the last crusade, but really if we had just stayed out of the Arab lands and not let Israel establish a state there, either, things would be a lot more peaceful than they are now. Who are you calling "we"? Palestine has been fought over for several thousand years by Syrians and Egyptians and other desert tribes. Moses (a Jew) led them there and later Moshe Dayan (another Jew) led them back there. I think the problem is thinking of them in terms of being other than a desert tribe, the most successful of the desert tribes. Jews are not strangers to the land of Israel like your post suggests. Perhaps the English should be allowed to chase the Irish back to Bohemia where archeology has proven they first came from.
