Yes, Bush looking under his desk for the missing WMDs was extremely tacky. And unfunny. I thought that would be enough to do him some damage in the campaign, but it didn't seem to. Perhaps the Democratic ads should have played it over and over and over again. However, the Democrats' biggest problem was the candidate they ran, and a really mangled campaign. Bush didn't get everything right, but he obviously didn't have to.
