I think people in other countries are so angry at Bush it would have been hard for him to handle the disaster in a way that didn't get him harsh reviews. I didn't meet anyone overseas who thought Bush was a good US president, or who was happy with the US at this time. Most people I met were pretty vocal about how little respect they had for the US government at this time- but I was pleasantly surprised that people in Europe are able to separate the people from the government- and people were very nice to us, everywhere we went.
