".....increasingly irrelevant to the rest of the world."

Ask indonesia about legitimacy. Who authorized the use of american troops in the rescue ops now underway. Was there a UN vote or did the Indonesian government even ask us? With your twisted mind what we are doing there is illegitimate as well. It certainly is unilateral because all the french helicopter and truck is in sierra leone.

You already admitted that you support the current efforts to establish order and democracy in Iraq, which is now our main policy toward Iraq. So what are you referring to when you say: So long as our foreign policy remains the same..?

Either you support the goal of establishing democratic order in Iraq or you don't.

Sounds like you are in a position of having to support the current US Iraq policy because the UN does too, but you don't like to admit it as that puts you in agreement with the Bush administration. Thus all the meaningless condemnatory blather.
