<<World leaders have fallen into step with the remarkable outpouring of generosity from ordinary people as a huge increase in US Government relief pushed the global government fund for tsunami aid to $2.6billion.>>

And we should be proud of that. We will lead the world in picking up the tab for this when it all shakes out.

<<The secretary-general of the United Nations, Kofi Annan, said the world had responded generously to the largest disaster the UN had faced.>>

Maybe his son should donate some of the oil for food money he stole?

<<Four months from now, the "switch" will be turned on: either tsunami-hit South Asia falls into line with the US and give a UN greenlight for whatever sanctions against Iran or.... it can kiss goodbye to the "aid monies">>

Wait a minute....just a couple days ago you said it wasn't a tsunami. You said it was a US weapon if I recall correctly. So which is it? Or did you get a less powerful batch of mushrooms today?

Some of you assertions that we could be in front of the UN asking for tougher sanctions against Iran will probably be true. There should be tougher sanctions. But to suggest that its a "bait and switch for the US war Machine" is unfounded. We'll pony up the money either way because Iran will fall into line or face the consequences with ot without UN approval. I'd start by making them do the work. I'd send them a message that said if one more person crosses the border into Iraq from Iran we're going to assume they're going there to cause trouble and thus we will strike your infrastructure, nuclear power plants, weapons making facilities and military bases with rockets. Iran isn't interested in having a Democracy next door so they're doing their level best to undermine it by sending support and people into Iraq to stir things up. Its time for Iran to either become a good global citizen (which includes not funding terrorism and stopping their nuclear weapons program) or face the consequences. I wouldn't send 1 troop into that country....I'd do everything via airstrike or missile. If the leadership of Iran was listening to their younger generation they would be pursuing relations with the west - not making things worse
