Majic 8 ball? What, you have little sense of humor OR intelligence? I don't think you know what "totalitarian" means, from what you write, nor which party in this conflict might most resemble such. Sure, it is your right to express your opinion, but that doesn't prove your opinion doesn't comfort our legitimate enemies. Re: "Isn't that what we are killing Iraqis to give them? Democracy? Freedom?" As a Frenchman who was released recently said...I paraphrase..."we were very aware that our captors were not interested in Iraqis, they were all about Holy War." In other words, if we leave them be, they'll have a Taliban-like system in place in Iraq...and be murdering Iraqi "infidels" as they well please. To deny that we are trying to kill those who deserve being killed(those who absolutely are trying to prevent Democracy and Freedom in Iraq), in our attempt to bring Democracy & Freedom to Iraq, is to deny reality, IMO. If we manage to kill innocents or those who perhaps would even side with us, by accident, it is also true that the Radicals there are killing innocent Iraqis on purpose, and would continue to do so if left alone. We absolutely are targeting the very folks who "collectively" have managed to pull off 911, and it is a good thing we are, in my also very allowed opinion. Dan B.
