Hello Emile, It is quite wonderous that we can perceive the change and renewal of the universe around us and; it is truly amazing that we can have a perception of self. Sentient awareness in and of it-self seems natural enough. How is it that some are able to perceive self without making a conscious connection to other? That connection is self-consiousness and self-consciousness gives one the ability to feel effection for one's other fellows. Without being able to relate, one is bound to self hate and to projecting that onto the ‘other’, in other words the source of paranoia and bigotry.
