If it fails I will have supported a bad idea because I was all for going into Iraq shortly after 9/11. I didn't care if they had WMD or not. I felt like we needed to be proactive in that region rather than reactive. Time will tell but I admit I was screaming to go into Iraq well before it was even on the table publicly.

I think that sums it up for you Gloop. Proactive comes in various degrees. Bush took it to the nth degree...WAR.

I can't understand your way of thinking. After 9-11 I was thinking we needed to get to bin Laden. The weapons inspectors were back in Iraq. We should have been building consensus. I think we have followed a wrong policy...and I believe that Powell agrees with me.
