I believe strongly in honor, integrity & doing right by others. Unfortunately, projecting my personal beliefs onto others will certainly lead to my demise. (He) who desires peace, prepare for war. If you aren't prepared to defend your desire to have freedom & live in peace, there are others who will surely take it from you by force. That is the basic history of the world from the time man first appeared. 9/11 changed everything. It always was a matter of when, not if that day would come. Terrorists & rouge dictators are developing the means to bring death & destruction on a massive scale to any part of the world. And they all see you & me as the enemy, the infidel. They despise you & everything about you. OBL wants to kill us or subjugate us into his version of religious fanaticism. There is no middle ground for him & many other fanatics like him. For more than a decade OBL has been striking at the US, culminating in the horrors of 9/11. Saddam had designs on controlling the ME & with it a vast quantity of the world's oil reserves. His life is a continuing series of naked acts of aggression, defiance & horrific crimes against humanity. Both OBL & Saddam openly acted on their desires. The US, under Bush, responded to defend our national security & preserve our ability to live in peace. What choice did OBL & Saddam leave us? Seriously?!

Read the Iraq Survey Group Report. Read the Senate Intelligence Committee Report. Read the 9/11 Commission Report. Listen to what your President actually says, not what someone else with a political agenda claims he said. Compare that to what you have read & heard from other sources. Ask yourself who distorted reality & who did not. Then ask yourself what their motivations might be. Form your own reality based opinions, not the opinions of others with political agendas. Don't pass up the opportunity to read some of the very salient, reasonable & logical POV's of many of the regulars on this thread. IMO, most folks here are reality based in their POV's & can express themselves far better than myself.
