I heard something tonight that I would like to share.

Liberals wish that our nation could be perceived as giving and considerate and kind and part of a global community that cares for one another. They believe our president has destroyed our reputation and created an atmosphere of hate. That we are despised by other nations. And they want that perception to change. As they say, to be liked again.

All US relief workers, including the US military, should wear a patch of the US flag on their upper sleeve indicating they are from the United States of America. That way the many people from our nation doing the hard work of cleaning up, delivering food and medicine, and generally helping in the restoration will be recognized as Americans working hard and reaching out in this time of need.

I can't think of a better way to show we care while at the same time being recognized for who we really are.

M

<<I didn't like the CNN clip of two bags of (probably) rice being off-loaded that had Norway imprinted in large letters on them.>>

I remember back in the 60s when the US and USSR were both trying to make inroads into Africa. Boxes of aid from and marked US were unloaded and Soviet agents would paint over the US and slap USSR stickers on the boxes.
