I don't care what organization a person decides to help.
A disaster like this knows no boundaries imo.

But.......if I were putting together a group, and sending then over to help, I'd make sure each and every one of the them had an American Flag patch attached to their sleeve. I'd also include another distinctive marker to further identify them and the organization they represent. There must be thousands of outsiders that have come into these areas by now. A prominent mark on a sleeve, an armband, a patch, or a colorful hat (yellow or orange) would help in identify the people representing that organization when it came time to direct them in the effort.

If I recall correctly, Kumar, you've been one of the people who complains about the image of the United States abroad. If so, then it seems to me that you should have no problem with attempts to generate good public relations for the US.

I don't see how you can simultaneously say the US has a bad image, but that we should not try to get the world to acknowledge the good things we do.

Don't know about you, kumar, but I'd wear the American flag patch wherever I went, and if I were helping another group, would wear whatever ID they had to identify that I was helping with that group.

Of course, it is up the individual whether they want to identify themselves as an American or not.

People, whoever and wherever they are, ID themselves by how they walk the walk, or talk the walk.
