That particular tsunami would not be set off by a quake, but by a volcanic eruption.

So, the "good" news is unlike big-ass, undersea earthquakes a volcanic eruption usually gives plenty of hints before it happens... increasing tremors as the magma moves, smaller pre-eruptions, etc.

Just like Mt. St. Helens back in 1980... everyone was told to evacuate because we knew it was coming.
