C B -- I agree men are "less sentimental", but many enjoy holding on to old photos & etc. My grandmother was the one, then my mother, now my sister helps, keep all those old photos. The old 8MM movies went to VHS and some are now going on CD. Some of the people I do not know, some I do not even care for-- Maybe one of my daughters will take over,,,maybe not... if not all those hours of work recording fasmily history will be lost-- going back to the early 1800s.

Men might be, but if those men have children, one or more of the children might really care about those pictures, letters, diaries etc. As you know, that has been my hobby and interest for MANY years...At the very worst, I want to have everything organized by family group, and in increments of every 10 years at least. Also, will be making a provision in my papers that if one of the family doesn't want the papers and pictures, etc...it is to go to two specific Museums/Historical Societies...one set for each of two family groups.
