China offers to build Karachi underground railway Pakistan Times National News Desk KARACHI: A State run-Chinese company, Shanghai Urban Construction Group (SUCG) has reiterated its offer to build 15-kilometre underground railway sub-way in Karachi within a period of five years. “We hope that the Chinese government would agree to extend a soft loan for undertaking this gigantic project to meet the growing transport needs of the city’s population,” said Bai Yun, Chief SUCG.
