Alistair,

Maybe there would be more money for Darfur, but Canada and France are 'studying' the situation and think the US is premature in calling it genocide.

By the way - the troops in Rwanda that stood by and watched the genocide were Belgian and Canadian. The ones that helped the killers out - were French.

I think the Canadian UN commander wrote a book about the trauma he went through watching it happen.

Why is it that only the US could do anything? Wasn't this a squabble between former French and Belgian colonists?
