Yes it is so much fun. And this group are very cordial and welcoming for newcomers to their group. Getting five and half hours exercise really helps me. My treadmill is just a dust collector.

Yes, treadmills are very depressing, so I walk in there and look at it and turn around and leave the room. I walk pretty fast and think I should walk in daylight hours so protection would not be a problem. My family doesn't like to go to a mall with me cause I have to turn around and tell them to quit being so slow. I can tell them everything I have seen while they slowly glance in all the shops. If I am shopping for something I want to get it bought and get the heck out of there, especially in a crowded mall. Too many sick people out when they should be at home in bed. Some seniors walk the malls for their exercise early in the morning and are waiting when the doors open and tell anyone and everyone "Hello and good morning to you" and seem so vital and full of energy.

One of my close friends joined a line dance group at a church and she goes once a week. She is my age and when we were young we danced a lot. At our class reunion, she just outdid everyone on the floor and you can see she is very good at it.

They just put sidewalks out in front of our hone last summer and I have not taken advantage of them yet. Most people who walk take a dog with them. Don't have a dog, nor do my cats go outside and don't think they would be much protection if I needed them...(g)

When I was young and up to and including high school I used to ice skate every Monday night and on Sunday afternoons. Have only skated once since then but found it to be no problem. Ankles didn't hurt at all even though I don't have my skates any longer. Gave them to a niece that was taking ice skating lessons and gave it up when she entered college and later got married. Don't think she has ever skated again either. Don't have any idea what happened to the skates. They were figure skates and somehow I never outgrew them before I gave them away. After four children my feet grew a few more sizes, so that was not important that I get them back. My children ice skated a few times but preferred roller skating. I have never skated on a frozen pond but think that could be scary if the ice is not thick enough, one could end up in the water below. That would amount to a tragedy for me. Don't like freezing weather at all. I'm anxiously awaiting Spring to get here.
