Yes, an additional benefit that I didn't see. Very good foresight, rkarl! The generic "reply" allows more flexibility in batch mode.

"That would also allow PM responses directly to any post in the batch mode ... which is not possible now without clicking on an input box and hitting Enter."

That should be an easy "if" statement, to direct the appropriate output in field? Writing this fast, I may be missing a condition you have in mind.

"There might be a slight complication with responding to a PM, however ... since only a PM response is allowed for a PM."
