Saddam was and is a SURVIVOR. We had enough leverage over him to do a better job of keeping WMD's out of his hands than we do over either N. Korea or Iran. Are you suggesting that we immediately invade those two countries? As far as close ties to terrorists. The ONLY real tie Saddam had to terrorists was his 25 grand donations to Palestinian suicide bombers. The other terrorists (Osama, et al) hated the guy because he was too secular. They would have killed him if they had the chance. As far as slaughtering his own people. That's a daily ocurrence in Africa, and I don't see Bush rushing to send in any troops there. As far as Podhoretz making a great Nazi?? When you tell the people of your country that they can't support their troops without supporting the policies they are involved in...then I guess no good German could have EVER questioned Hitler...could they have?
