"You know, the thing that bothers me the most about that post of yours is his comment the class was TWO WEEKS. That is a RIDICULOUSLY short time to train ANYONE including AMERICANS to be soldiers or police. Boot camp alone in my memory has NEVER been less then 8 weeks and usually 13. From THERE one goes to advanced infantry training for another 6 weeks. Then one learns and trains in his specialty. To expect some Iraqi to learn it all in 2 weeks is DEMEANING to the Iraqi and then to bad mouth them cause they fail is even worse. Whomever is running that program doesnt know JACK SHIT (another military term I would apply to him)." The contractors do what they are hired to do... and it ain't the FBI Accademy they are running over there. Our government designed these training programs. "Frankly, I liked his KURD idea but sadly the Iraqi's probably dont!! jdn" Yep... the Kurds. The difference between a people striving for their own free, democratic nation --- and other people's caught up in religious and tribal warfare. (IMO, the sooner we can leave so they can have their civil war to sort things out, the better.)
