Andrew, I wouldn't want to go there. My Dad had to find work in the CCC, and my Mother worked at menial jobs to help our when ever, and how ever, she could. My Father left in 36 for another woman, that made things even worse. At least, my Mother had a good family base, that worked together to survive. WW2 was her saving grace because women were needed to work where men had done so before, and she landed a secretarial job with the Hughes Tool Co. which made things a lot easier. That was before Howard Hughes became so famous, and so crazy.
