OK, sounds like a reasonable tradeoff to save the bandwidth. Thanks.

Bob, I think I know the cause of the "open space" problem (in Netscape) that David R. Stockwell wrote about in Message 20916334

Dreamweaver complains about the HTML code generated on readmsg.aspx and readmsgs.aspx pages ... and it has to do with opening tag#1, then opening tag#2 ... but then closing tag#1 before closing tag#2. That's not an exact description, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

The bulk of the Dreamweaver complaints deal with "<form .... > .... </form>" tags used to input the 'msgnum'. I recommend that you open and close the form tag within the table cell displaying the message number, for example, ...

<td align='right'><form method='POST' name='msg_goto' action='go.aspx?subjectid=54574'><a href='readreplies.aspx?msgid=20917893'>Read Replies (1)</a> <input name='msgnum' size=5 value=3155> of 3156</form></td>

Ron

It carries that extra bandwidth load on every Yeah I see now.. Didn't think about that .. I'm in GUI (Client Server) or host based CHUI environment but nothing going over the net so that bandwidth stuff is not a real consideration for me typically.
