Thanks again, KLP, for the OT comments.

I want my dog to be trained, but not overtrained. I don't make him sit when I give him a treat. I don't require that he obey instantly every command that I might issue (and I issue very few indeed).

I am content to know that he knows enough to stay out of trouble and not to chase cars. He is actually a well-mannered dog and tries, most of the time, to do the obedient thing but I raise him the way I raised my kids. I wanted them to be spirited but not mean, obedient but not subservient, gentle but not naive, kind but not a patsy to those who are adept exploiters.

And so I think that Mr. B and my kids have grown up to be rather decent human (and canine) beings.

I am content with that belief. Mr B is content with the way I treat him. And my kids seem to appreciate the way I raised them too.

As for the "Other end of the ballot box". I hope that you Washingtonians can "unleash" a real storm before the Democrats
are erroneously installed again.
