GST has just as much right to make his case here as you do. His Baltimore sun article shouldnt be dismissed either. There are big problems over there in iraq and you remind me of the guys then who told us victory was just around the corner. Things are bad in the triangle and we may end up getting less than we thought we would. A shiaa moderate state and free kurdish one are a good start. How do you win the hearts and minds of people who think we consprired with the israelis and indians to kill moslems with the tsunami or blew up the WTC ourselves. Arabs are nutcases and the palestinian victimizatio rhetoric we get everywhere on the arab street make success in that region at least with sunni/wahabis/al q almost impossible. Declare victory and solidify the gains, balance the iranians in shiaastan and get the turks and kurds to the peace table and keep our troops in place to warn the others and protect the oil. There are some things for starters.
