We live in a shrunken world. 'Over there' isn't really separated from 'here' any longer. We are a world community and we view every event and location with some degree of personal possessiveness ... all of us do. The Sunnis will never relinquish what they believe is their possession, whether that be Jerusalem, Bagdad or whatever. The mission of Al-Quaida (Sunni) is to install a world Khalifate, as is the mission of the Al-Mahdi Army (Shi'ite). These recent developments are not going to fade away. I can pretty much guarantee that they will grow in force and will never be completely annihilated.
