Wrong! The more educated tend to vote Democratic. It is the more wealthy and the more stupid categories that vote Republican.

British journalist Robert Fisk was interviewed on radio about Iraq. His statements can be summarized as follows :

* The elections of Jan 2005, even if held, will make no difference to the insurgency

* The neocon project, PNAC, is over. Finished. Finito. Case closed. It stumbled and fell badly and broke its back at the very first hurdle.

* The US (and its rapidly dwindling allies) will continue to fight the insurgents for some more years.

* Eventually, the two sides will tire out and the US will come to some sort of a settlement with the insurgents (similar to what happened between Britain and the IRA)
