"The two issues are several orders of magnitude separated from reality. We fiddle while Rome burns."

Agreed. If we can focus on real terrible circumstances, there are many that are interesting. What bush did in the national guard etc. or kerry did as a hippy, or clinton did b'tween the sheets are ... (not).

If you can refrain from bush bashing, I will join you in discussing the truly awesome circumstances he/we face which he is unlikely to get us through with the machismo comments and the not all powerful military at his disposal.

Kennedy gets off again... in more than one way. Is this another of those private thingys?

William Kennedy Smith was accused by his former personal assistant of sexually assaulting her.

Audra Soulias claims Smith bought her drinks while she was celebrating her birthday in January 1999. She alleged that after taking her to his Chicago home, he dragged her upstairs and assaulted her.

A chicago judge has dismissed the case.
