Well, much of what you say is true. However, I think you are a little harsh on America. For one thing, I think we are in Afghanistan and Iraq as a direct result of being attacked on 9/11. It's not in the American gene to sit back and wait for another attack. American culture is about action, even if it isn't always the right action. I still believe that we went to Iraq because we felt we could no longer wait while the cauldron boiled over again and burned us.
