It may seem to imply marriage to folks who are predisposed to conflate the two but family and marriage aren't the same thing. This whole discussion has been about differentiating, at least my side of it has. I do not diminish the importance of family when I question the criticality of marriage to family. Quite the contrary, I want to see the focus on family, not be distracted by marriage.
