You know, it's hard to have a lot of sympathy for people who invade a thread just to cause trouble. We all tend to think rather...hmmm...what's the word I want?- uncharitably- about people who disagree with us- however we don't all wander around acting out. Now I'm sure there are liberals banned from conservative threads for invading them- but I have to tell you, I've not seen a bunch of liberals cackle on a liberal thread about tormenting a conservative thread head- and I HAVE seen conservatives do it a number of times- to Mephisto, and to Grainne, and to a couple other threads. I have to tell you I have not seen equivalency in this type of behavior, and so I cannot feel that things have really been that inconsistent. So we'll just have to disagree about the inconsistency. And you know what? I like Grainne's thread, and even if she were inconsistent, it wouldn't make the least bit of difference to me. All moderators are inconsistent, imo. Some try a bit harder than others to be consistent- Grainne has tried, and I (quite frankly) think she has gotten nothing but crap for it- I don't think one should even try- for the lesson of SI is that those who try, get a stick in the eye. There is no nice reward for those who try to be virtuous- it's just crap crap and more crap- who needs it?
