In the case of the Iraqi insurgents, terrorism and insurgency is the same thing. If they were just insurgents, then they would only be fighting and killing Americans. But instead they are killing far more Iraqis, by a 10 to 1 margin, than Americans. So since they are killing their own people, which very clearly can be called innocents, then I'd say they are terrorists and insurgents.

As far as a pullout of our troops, I've said that for awhile, that we need to get an election going their and then get most of our troops out. If the Iraq gov't asks us to stay, then we should keep an advisory force there, like we did in S. Korea, but not a large contingent. The fight must be transferred to the Iraqi gov't if that country is to ever win its freedom and independence. However, I have also said that Bush and friends will want a base in Iraq, which means that they will want to keep a sizeable force there for as long as possible. That, I am against.
